Race 2 Dyson 2400m

MANKAYAN needed to get moving earlier, but was somewhat dictated to by those around him. He seems to lack a turn of foot and in Australian racing, that is very, very costly.

Race 5 Drinkwise Dulcify Stakes 1500m

Excellent win GIANNIS to beat fitter ones at 1500m. Spring Champion path? Loved the run of ARNAQUER. Was keen on him LS, but gap between runs and staying at 1400m proved against. He clocked the F L6/4/200m OTR and proved he can measure up at 2000m when they get there. Always thought ROYALZEL was a little overplayed, but beat older horses fresh, building a good record and although had the run here, he wants a wet track.

Race 6 Coolmore Sheraco Stakes 1200m

The Kiwi ENTRIVIERE was excellent here. Got the A1 steer, but they ran time. Her next start will be interesting re what trip, but clearly class. Still doing it in Concussion Plates! FITUESE was the run of the race imo and beaten by the barrier. Too far back, but ticked the 1200m box and stormed home in the F L600m OTD out wide against somewhat of a pattern. Swap runs and swap result. VANGELIC was excellent. Had the run, left behind when the sprint went on, on to heels, then came again on the line. She ran 5th in the G1 Queen of the Turf prior to the spell, she can develop into a very good Miler in Mares grade. Follow.

Race 7 Chandon Theo Marks Stakes 1300m

PRIVATE EYE ran the 2nd F L600m OTD from way too far back. Good chance he backs up to 1400m at Randwick this weekend in the Bill Ritchie and in a yard that has mastered the quick backup, that could be his to lose. BIG PARADE proved he's an enigma and moving forward, he will ruin most races he is in from an analysis position. ICEBATH isn't a betting proposition until she strikes a wet track, but going well. NIMALEE excellent return.

Race 8 XXXX Run To The Rose 1200m

The Golden Rose and the Caulfield Guineas is quite simply at the mercy of ANAMOE. To win in this fashion off a setback and just one 742m trial proves he is who's who in the zoo. Thought GLENEAGLES outworked REMARQUE in the final 200m and he actually ran the F L600m OTR. He's below the big boys, but it was a run full of merit for longer.

Race 9 Quayclean 1200m

An outstanding ride from from Brock Ryan gave COUNT DE RUPEE every chance. He loves firm decks and he loves it fresh. Would like to see runs spaced and stay to 1200m. That said, he did win 2nd up last prep at 1400m, but could be his limit? He changed legs like an absolute giraffe before stomping away. ZOUSHACK good for new yard. Had a light weight. Back to the midweeks and 13/1400m for him. EMENATE a forgive. Carried weight and planted deep. A little softer going and cover and she can explode.

Race 10 Cleanaway 1500m

We may not see the best of LOVE TAP until the Autumn. Stable note he's still mentally very immature. He ran time here with the shades going on. Handles all surfaces and always promised to be a good horse. Needs it all to go right for him if he is to progress through the grades, but he clearly has an awesome engine and a big future.
