Dave Strehlau reviews the racing from Rosehill and identifies horses to follow. Not easy to make ground and merit added to those doing so out wide. Track wasn't a Heavy10 as advertised early, more like an 8/7.
Race 1 Elite Sand & Soil Hcp 1100m
LADY LAGUNA an easy all the way winner. WEALTHY INVESTOR was very gallant in 3rd. Sat 3WNC and made his run in what turned out to be quicksand. Good debut for further.

TESTATOR SILENS win was quite remarkable. Cast a plate in the yard, looked to have melted down prior to going to the gates, missed the kick, then burst through. He was in the better going, but it was a good win and he can win more. Horses that missed the start aren't ones for me, but FURPHY finished powerfully out wide and his middle sections were excellent after missing the start badly. Can entertain at 1400m.

MEDIA STARGUEST was unsuited going 14-1800m 3rd up 3 weeks between runs. Expect him to peak 4th up in this distance range. He spanked 3rd. Fitness and a good front running ride won LORD ARDMORE the race.

DREAM CIRCLE home in 32.91 is seriously good on a wet surface and his L6/4/200m splits were clear race fastest and the clear fastest of the day. Super return.

ELLSBERG far too classy. STOCKMAN good for longer. Hard one for me to catch, but right race he can win. Thought the return of MUBARIZ was excellent. Peaked on his run late, but moved into the race well down the middle of the track and he might go to a new level this prep.

Lovely ride/win EXPAT. When she controls she's hard to beat. Keeps getting better. BROOKSPIRE was huge. Three and four wide without cover, powered home and spanked 3rd.
