Very good debut from REMARQUE without really propelling himself into the upper echelon of 2yo performances so far this season. He did some work early to sit OSL and be ridden like the best horse, which he was. Green in the straight and still too good. The win lacked a little merit on the clock. Overall time, first 600m / last 600m all lacking substance on the day, but he is a very new 2yo having his first start and is obviously open to big improvements between runs. Definitely a pass mark and wouldn't be penning for one of the big 2yo features. SING A LOVE SONG was strong late and his L200m equalled that of the winner’s after being run off his feet early, held up in the straight and racing green. Good debut.

TAILLEUR dominant herr and race set up well. Obviously had some sort of set back, but proved to be very minor, as this was a strong win. Can forgive THE BOPPER after THE BULLETIN basically rode a race to hold him and beat him. He then got keen when asked to come back underneath the rider. Flashing lights all over ACADEMY. Home in 33.71, this is well short of his best and the win over ICEBATH and CRIADERAS before the let up now ready very well.

PROVEN CLASS off 6 weeks back in trip the one here. Eats 1800m+ and a promising country grade stayer.

COUNT DE RUPEE got a perfect ride from O’Hara. Got him off the fence, galloping room and cover. Entitled to win by more, but got it done nonetheless. Enormous return from STARSPANGLED RODEO. The CoT to be ridden cold was a sign of intent, as he usually settles handy. He has run home in the F L600m of the day in 32.83 and that is humming! Will get further, big prep ahead!

Flashing lights all over BLAZE A TRAIL. Wet around in high class races as a 2yo. Went 2/2 in his first prep for Vella, and the return today was very good. His last 100m was pleasing. Gets over further. BLUFF ‘N’ BLUSTER was fresh off 4 weeks and his L200m was electric. Can win again this prep.

EXOTIC RUBY is a lightly raced 5yo Mare and she can take the next step this summer. Way up in grade from her previous starts last prep and she ran a very good 2nd here, with her L200m particularly strong. MADAM LEGEND every chance, but back in trip costly. Wants 1400m. NEVER TALK ran the F L200m OTD, missing the start very costly.

STARLA has run 2nd/3rd/2nd/2nd this prep and at times without luck. Stiff not to have a win so far this summer! PRIVATE EYE too good. A long way from this race to the Golden Eagle, but that is his plan now and he keeps improving at every start and you can only win, and that he does! Good horse.
