Race 1 – AIR SPIRIT brilliant fresh here upsetting the top 2. Good effort by MODELKA who was hard fence in the straight. Forgiving LYRICAL GIRL as she wasn't right. She wanted to lay in the whole straight. Can see her having a trial before her next run and perhaps some head gear applied.

 

Race 2 – SIMPLY FLY unlike the 1st up run got the tempo to suit today but went huge again here winning the race basically in the last 100m as it didn't have the clearest of paths in the straight until then. He will win plenty of races with his motor and is worth sticking with. ZINGALONG continues to run well at home over this distance. LITTLE RIVER was good here first up. Jami Lady's little half sister will definitely be better over 1200-1400m.

 

Race 3 – Dawdle fest this. GLORIOUS RUBY gifted the lead and the race. MISHANI TULIP restrained early finished strongly up the inside. Didn't mind it's run at all and she was only 2nd up here.

 

Race 4 – JETSKI was good here but doesn't help himself at the start of his races. Jimmy O decided to save ground up the inside inferior lanes which wasn't the play.

 

Race 5 – Weird watch this. Jimmy Byrne persisted with the whip in the left forcing COULDN'T REFUSE along with the 2nd favourite inside him ENTERPRISE PRINCE to the inferior lanes and subsequently they were both swamped late. Not sure what to make of this race going forward. Can't say I'm terribly keen to follow anything from it except for ENTERPRISE PRINCE.

 

Race 6 – Another negative ride here on DEE DAY DIVA. She strangely lugged on the turn also which didn't help her cause. What do we do with her? Arguably run of the race but they don't pay down to 5th unfortunately. Probably best to stick.

 

Race 7 – Wasn't a great ride on LITTLE MISS PIXIE but she was disappointing regardless after overracing early. Personally silly to let WAY BEYOND go around a loser at the price he got to. He had great form for this and was way too strong.

 

Race 8 – Not a great deal doing here. But happy to follow SOPHIE'S GOLD CLASS from this as she looks just about ready to win.

 

Race 9 – KYLEASE ran some time here. It was the last race of the day though so the track drying out may have had an effect on that. RIVER BIRD a total forgive here. Jumped well and restrained to 3rd last to sit 4 wide with no cover. A senseless ride to say the least. Her trial last Monday was way too good to throw her out after that and happy to follow her going forward. Would love to see her draw a gate over 1200m. WIRNPA was ridden basically in the opposite fashion sitting 3 wide no cover outside the speed and stuck on really well (beaten only 1.7L) considering he is a horse that appreciates being ridden a touch quieter. He is in for a good preparation. UNGUARDED was beaten for speed early going 1000m again 2nd up but seems to be jumping with them a lot better than her first few runs up here. Will be much better suited over 1200-1400m.
