The Race Club’s Mick Sharkie has thrown out a couple of runners he expects to shorten after today’s racing. 

‘Hawker Hurricane beat what I expect to be a good field in the Magic Millions Classic. Off a very good jump out, I expect he runs well first up’. 

You can still find as much as $51 in futures markets about Hawker Hurricane to win The Blue Diamond. 

‘Avilius reminds me a lot of my old horse, Lucas Cranach. He should really come on for that first Australian prep’ said Sharkie.

Cummings has confirmed that the 2000m Australian Cup is the 5YO’s goal. 

Avilius resumes today after finishing his last  prep off with a Melbourne Cup run. Futures markets have him at $9.
