Race 1 – SHAMATON had the dream run behind the fastest lead speed of the day here and won well.

Favourite/leader beat 3rd favourite/barrier 1/3rd the fence so no real surprises there. The horse I want to follow from this is MISHANI WARFARE. This bloke was set quite a task having to sit 4 wide in the run. A great effort considering he was only beaten 2.5L by GOLDEN ARTIE who had to perfect run in behind the winner PALAZZO SPIRIT.

Despite being beaten it's hard to ignore the runs of STELLAR MAGIC, TIGER HEART and FETCH here. Firstly STELLAR MAGIC, she was ridden cold from her wide gate which was always going to be a negative. She hammered home. Just needs to draw a gate next start. FETCH was only having her second start in a race. She made her run in the worst part of the track and was strong through the line. She will get better with racing and maybe up in distance slightly with a Tongue Tie would suit. TIGER HEART will definitely improve with the run under his belt and be much better suited out to 1200m and beyond.

Slowly run affair here and the horse who was definitely not suited was EELLOH. Taken back from the gate and she didn't appreciate the tempo. She is going better than what her form reads and she is crying out to go back to a mile. Drawing a gate across the road wouldn't go astray either.

APACHE CHASE was simply awesome here once again. He is really showing his versatility this preparation being able to take a sit which will help him to no end as he heads towards harder races.

BOOM SPENDER controlled the race from in front here and because of that the horse to follow from this quite clearly is SHE ZA BOSS. Good to see her return with a booming finish. Out to 1300-1400m second up she will be very hard to hold out.
