Makybe Diva Stakes day, and while there was some give in the track it raced superbly.

Race 2 Aust. Childhood Foundation Hcp 1700m

MAKRAM was excellent showing a very sharp turn of foot with the light weight to record a decisive win. GREAT HOUSE carried a large weight and hit the line very well, he looks in for a good preparation and a leading contender as he stretched out in trip.

Race 3 Cap D'antibes Stakes 1100m

I liked GHAANATI here but she again failed to run up to her debut effort and the jury is well and truly out on her now. Concerned about this race given the bunched finish, however it must be said TYPHOON TITMUS was something licked and with even luck wins. ENGLISH RIVERA was backed off the map and only got weary late after being left hanging, perhaps around The Valley she will be better suited.

Race 4 The Sofitel 1400m

SCALLOPINI copped a peach from Frosty here and was superb given the conditions of this race. PINSTRIPED has come back in superb form, I think he's improved and with a better gate he likely wins this race. Both horses can be followed going forward.

Race 5 Pfd Food Services Makybe Diva 1600m

I'M THUNDERSTRUCK was just superb, pinning the ears back to get ALLIGATOR BLOOD in the last bound. Proper race, looking forward to seeing them progress through the spring.

Race 7 Furphy Let's Elope Stakes 1400m

Zahra was terrific on KISSONALLFOURCHEEKS to get some cover before allowing her to use her turn of foot to advantage. Of the beaten bridge, YEARNING was in traffic but once in clear air was enormous. It reminded me a little bit of FORENSICS from yesteryear on this day, she went on to win the Myer on Derby Day. I'm not letting FORTUNATE KISS get under my guard either, she struck plenty of trouble and I though ran really well. GLINT OF HOPE and DAISIES both look on track for something like The Matriarch.

Race 9 Exford Plate 1400m

BERKELEY SQUARE got the job done after overcoming traffic issues/ After looking at the data from this race, I don't believe this is the right reference for the Caulfield Guineas, so I suggest tread with caution.
