Scales Of Justice blows rivals away in Bletchingly

Group 1 winner Scales Of Justice looks primed for a fruitful spring campaign after a stunning first-up win over 1200 metres in Saturday's Group 3 Bletchingly Stakes at Caulfield.

Resuming since running third in last year's G3 Colonel Reeves Stakes at Ascot in Perth last November, the 2016 Railway Stakes hero thrashed his rivals in the $160,000 sprint under Dean Yendall.

"He travelled super the whole way... when I asked for it he really let down, wow," Yendall told

"He's obviously a nice horse."

Trainer Lindsey Smith, who is in a rich vein of form, added: "He's got the best character of any horse I've ever seen or dealt with."

Scales Of Justice won by 3.25 lengths, stopping the clock at 1:10.08.

Race favourite Sesar finished sixth, beaten 8.25 lengths.
