Midweek racing in South Australia heads to Gawler today, with a big nine-race card.

Having done the form for the meeting, Adam Curkpatrick from theraceclub.com.au believes last start winner NASIFA (in Race 6) is one of the best bets of the program.

The Kylie Huxtable-trained mare won her maiden at Balaklava two starts back, before finishing second behind Suplex City in town last time out.

"Nasifa won well first-up and returned good figures. That was followed by a good run in a city BM64 where she should've finished closer to the winner. She travelled well, but was tightened for room from the 300-150m point," Curkpatrick said.

"From the middle draw, I expect her to sit just behind the lead division, and if she runs up to her last start, I reckon she wins.

"Hopefully we get $2 or better."

Race time is 3pm AEST.
