Winx's suitor revealed
8 months agoChampion mare Winx will begin life as a broodmare with a date with brilliant sire I Am Invincible.
Owners of the four-time Cox Plate winner announced the decision via a press release on Monday.
"As owners, we have utilised and considered the expert advice of bloodstock professionals both domestically and internationally," Winx's owners said.
"They provided us with the foundation of information to assess and use to compile the shortlist of stallions for consideration.
"This process highlighted the extreme depth to the stallion ranks in Australia and across the world, however when considering the options of travelling overseas, her welfare remained the highest priority and we decided she would remain in Australia for her first breeding season.
"We are delighted to announce that Winx will visit I Am Invincible for the 2019 breeding season."
A son of Invincible Spirit, I Am Invincible sits second on the general sires list behind the great Snitzel.

I Am Invincible stands at Yarraman Park and his service fee for 2019 is $247,500.
