"She's a spring horse": O'Neill
8 months agoJoe O'Neill is eyeing up some spring riches with promising two-year-old Rubisaki.
The Patrick Payne-trained filly improved her record to two wins from three starts with an easy victory in Saturday's 1400-metre Gippsland Handicap at Flemington.
Sent out the $4.20 favourite, Rubisaki cruised to a 2.25-length win under Jye McNeil.
"She's a ripper, her sister (Zizzis) won on Wednesday," O'Neill told Racing.com.
"We've had this filly for a while and Patrick (Payne) contacted me and said, 'I think this is the real deal, this thing.
"She bolted in the other day and today she was never going to get beaten
"She's a high-class filly. She's a spring horse."

A daughter of Rubick, Rubisaki realised $85,000 at last year's Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.
McNeil, who is closing in on 100 wins for the season, was also impressed by the performance.
"She's only quite small, really, but she is strong enough and she gave me a really nice turn of foot off a slow tempo, so I thought it was a really good win," McNeil said.
