Sunlight locked in for The Everest

Star sprinting filly Sunlight is the fourth horse to be confirmed as a starter in this year's The Everest.

The Tony McEvoy-trained daughter of Zoustar will run for Max Whitby and Neil Werrett, who co-own one of the 12 slots in the $14 million race.

Sunlight boasts 10 wins and five minor placings from 16 starts, for earnings of $4.4 million.

She is a three-time Group 1 winner, having tasted victory in the last year's Coolmore Stud Stakes, as well as the 2019 William Reid Stakes and Newmarket Handicap.

Sunlight joins Pierata (Aquis) Classique Legend (Bon Ho and Carmel Size Racing) and Santa Ana Lane (TAB) in the 1200-metre race, which will be run at Randwick on October 19.
