The Race Club's Wednesday Oil

Racing in Sydney today is at Warwick Farm, where there's seven races set down for decision.

Tony Lorch from theraceclub.com.au has done the form for the meeting, and although there doesn't appear to be any standouts, he is keen to play in Race 1 – a 1400-metre handicap for two-year-olds.

"BANDERSNATCH (No.1) led all the way over this distance at Newcastle 11 days ago, controlling the race from the outset and getting his own way in front. He won easily, recording good figures," said Lorch.

"I don't think he tries for the lead here, as DOROTHY OF OZ (No.13) looks the designated leader, but he should race on pace and if he gets a fair run in transit, then I think he's the horse to beat.

"RARI (No.5) has only had the one run and it was for a fair fourth to Reloaded, where he was only beaten 1.1L. He most likely settles on pace, but whether he will settle in run is the query - if he does then he is also right in it.

"GYPSY SNITZ (No.14) ran sixth to the smart Libertini and although she was beaten 6.5L, it wasn't as bad as it looked and she will appreciate the extra 200m here.

"I'm with Bandersnatch each way."

The race goes at 12:50pm AEST.
