Group One racing returned at Caulfield and the track raced perfectly.

Race 2 Stow Storage Solutions (Bm90) 1400m

Super ride on LADY OF HONOUR to control this race from the front, she was back somewhere close to her best. SAIGON was excellent from the back given the tempo of the race. Funny run from GROOVY KINDA LOVE given she didn't go a yard early but picked up nicely late, she can go close over further though she was nicely weighted after the claim here.

Race 3 Evergreen Turf (Bm78) 1400m

MUNHAMEK had a few favours given he got a nice cart into it, but was all the same very impressive at his local debut. Three runners were held up at a key stage and went very well, they were EL ROCKO, SO RISQUE, and the horse I liked CORONA LAD. Typical of this level, there's not a heap between a lot of them and luck in running always plays a part.

Race 4 Ive > Hcp 1400m

I WISH I WIN was well supported and was enormous showing a great turn of foot, he's going places. GENTLEMAN ROY lost no admirers given he was barbequed by BUFFALO RIVER and his effort to run second was admirable. Happy to follow both.

Race 5 H.D.F. Mcneil Stakes 1200m

A fantastic return by JACQUINOT, who came with a strong run and nice turn of foot to put them away. AFT CABIN was ridden a little upside down early, and given he was back in trip for this, his ran was still excellent. At 1400m I'd lean his way between the two of them. I don't think the others are in their class.

Race 6 The Mccafe Stakes 1100m

GENERATION was well drawn, but kicked up to keep IN THE BOAT working and saw him off, before rallying again when SHOOTING FOR GOLD came at him late off a much softer run. He was stiff to get beaten and has run very well. STAR PATROL looked like he was going to go past them both but peaked late, however he didn't have too many breaks in the run. NOT AN OPTION has plenty of talent but again missed the start, buyer beware with him going forward.

Race 7 W.W. Cockram Stakes 1200m

PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE has every possible here and simply popped in the run home. She's much better than that and while nothing showed in the initial vet report, suspect something was up. CHAIN OF LIGHTNING again came with a withering burst and continues to impress. KISSONALLFOURHCHEEKS is going to be awfully hard to beat at 1400m next time out. Sound return from FLYING MASCOT who will also be suited to further.

Race 8 Magic Millions Memsie Stakes 1400m

SNAPDANCER was very well rated in front, and used her winter fitness to advantage and got another valuable G1 on her CV. I'M THUNDERSTRUCK was excellent given the tempo of this event, CASCADIAN wasn't too far behind him. They will both be key players at a mile plus. DUAIS couldn't keep up early but was very strong late, she's come back well and is going to be a keep player as she steps up in trip.
