It was cold and windy at HQ, a strong wind mainly favoured those with cover down the side in the circle races, but down the straight it proved hard to make ground.

Race 1 Trevor Clarke Hcp 1000m

GIGA KICK proved far too good for them, solid grounding and he took up a a pot and accelerated better than the others. An encouraging return from LASCARS who also closed off well under a superb tactical steer from The Goat. SALAASEL and TAPIN' THREE both showed enough to indicate they have futures, too, however just too raw for the other professional runners.

Race 2 Ken Cox Hcp 1700m

This was run at a decent clip and THALASSOPHILE got much deserved win after what has been an ultra consistent preparation. FREEDOM ESCAPE caught the eye late and whilst he was slowly away he hit the line. I think he needs the soft track to show his best but if he gets then he will take holding out next time.

Race 6 Sir Eugene Gorman (Bm78) 1000m

VERANSKOVA bungled the start then launched late to just miss a game SQUID GAME who I think was after further but was still good enough to get away with it. She's in good touch VERANSKOVA based off this effort and her trial and she can be winning soon. KALKARNO ROYALE won this race last year and she nearly did it again, she's in good form too and appreciates the cut in the track.

Race 9 L.V Lachal (Bm84) 1200m

The wind was mainly at their Shayna Jack down the straight and given that BILL THE BOXER had a very easy time up top and every chance but was unable to fend of NICLOLINI VITO who showed he's in for a nice preparation and ran right up to his jump out. SACRED PALACE the eye catcher, he made good ground too and can be winning soon.
