Flemington raced terrifically well given the rain during the week and we saw a couple of fillies indicate they will be prominent come the spring.

Race 2 Next Generation Sprinters Hcp 1100m

GHANAATI caught the eye at the jump outs and is a very exciting filly based on what she did here. Look out for her in the spring, she's top shelf. SIBYLLA was held up at a key stage and got going late, she should've finished much closer and can win soon.

Race 3 Leilani Series (Bm78) 1400m

The well supported BELLA ROUGE came with a well timed run to make the most of her light weight. AMERICAIN ANGEL ran on very well and ZOUSONIC was also very good against the tempo. Given the tempo of this race I think both mares can be followed.

Race 7 Silver Bowl Series Hcp 1400m

This was quite a messy race. JIMMY THE BEAR is a winner and just got the better of ARRAN BAY. CARDINAL GEM got poleaxed and was terrific to pick himself up. SUNFALL was held up at a key stage and also ran on well. They are the two I can follow from this race.

Race 8 Vrc-Crv Winter C'ship Hcp 1400m

LOOKS LIKE ELVIS was simply enormous weaving though here to get the result. HI STRANGER ran eighth but was in a bad spot and his effort had plenty of merit. IT'SOURTIME was much better behaved and stiff in that he bumped into a runner that was huge.

Race 9 Tab / Ata Trainers' Trust Hcp 1100m

PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE is a beauty, she can sit on top of the speed, absorb pressure if she has to, and sprint away if left alone. She was left alone here, but I think she has plenty more up her sleeve and her racing style is going to mean she wins plenty of races. I think she's got potential to win a Group One, especially against her own gender. I was a little worried about SQUID GAME fresh, but off this effort he is back in a big way. Talented dude.
